About

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York (#021163), New Jersey (#35S100644200), and psypact states (#14926).

My approach to treatment is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), two types of skills-based and goal-oriented behavioral therapies that have been researched and shown to be effective in treating a range of conditions. I work with adults and adolescents who are experiencing difficulties with anxiety, mood, and emotion regulation.

I am trained to provide specialized versions of CBTs for OCD (exposure and response prevention, ExRP), PTSD/trauma (prolonged exposure, cognitive processing therapy) and insomnia (CBT-I). I am also intensively trained to provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adults, adolescents (DBT-A) and individuals with PTSD (DBT-PE).

I strive to create warm and genuine therapeutic relationships and to be collaborative and flexible in my approach to treatment. I also incorporate mindfulness and acceptance-based interventions in my work.

In addition to my private practice, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where I teach and supervise psychology and psychiatry trainees. I was formerly an Attending Psychologist, Director of Externship Training, and the Director of the Adolescent DBT Program at Montefiore Medical Center. I am currently a member of several professional organizations including the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy (ABCT), the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and NYC-CBT.
